My friend just sent me this link about Sega potentially being bought out at some point. Apparently the company has been in deep water for some time, having to recently cut 400 employees. This is rumor isn't just coming out of nowhere, but from an business analysis site I always hear my father talking about called Seeking Alpha.

This is craziness but not surprising. Sega hasn't really been a dominant player for a little while and in my opinion the Sonic franchise lost its luster a while ago. I really wish they would take an old school approach with a new Sonic game and some weird 2D art style while emphasizing the speed. Sonic is best played 2 dimensionally, it never fit too well with 3D IMO

They're still making Sonic games? Why don't they just kill him and his series off while it still has a little respect? Sega has been dead to me since the 2-D era ended, it's a worthless company and there's no reason anyone should buy it... but that's just my opinion.
