Yeah baby! I've been waiting for this game forever, literally. I can't believe they actually committed to a release date, it seems like this thing has been in development since the beginning of time. I'm not a big PC gamer, but this will get me to upgrade my rig at least enough to run it. I can't wait for this game to hit.

Do you guys realize the ridiculous scope of this game and what an achievement it is? To start out as a single celled organism and evolved to a point that you'll take over the galaxy? That's utterly incredible when you sit back and think about how you will progress through this game. Wil Wright's a genius.

September feels awfully far away considering we were hoping for the game in 2007. But like Miyamoto says, a game delayed is eventually good while a bad game is bad forever. That is, he'd rather a game release late with all the bugs ironed out than release early or on time as a piece of junk. I can only hope that Spore is everything it is promising to be. The scope is indeed colossal, and let's hope that Will Wright is the genius you say he is or else Spore could be another multimillion dollar letdown.

But the release date is kind of funny to me because it reminds me of The Simpsons Game. There's a level where you have to battle against stuff Wil Wright throws at you. After the classic "I'm Wil Wright, bitch!" Homer says something as you try to progress: "$10 says Spore is never released"

I thought for the longest time this game was a PC exclusive, anyway I'm glad that they've got an official release date in '08 but I really want it to come out now. I know I sound impatient but I've been waiting for this game for what feels like forever and knowing it's month away is killing me softly inside. Is it just me or is every good game being delayed until later this year? Not only do I have to wait 'till August for Mercenaries 2 but now I have to wait until September for Spore as well, I was hoping it would be released during Summer at latest.

Damn, a Duke Nukem Forever trailer, a Spore release date, and the possibility of either a black or woman president...have we entered another dimension? LOL. Great news (for all of those things actually, aside from Duke Nukem Forever..who still cares?)

Oh great, this game is produced by EA. The same producers that have been constantly delaying half the games they produce, I can't put my thumb on it but something tells me this release date won't last for long.

Spore is one of those games that could be delayed for six years and still sell like the cure to AIDS.

Yeah, I'd still buy it but it pisses me off that EA keeps delaying all of there games. We already have a long wait for Spore so we don't need to wait any longer nor should we have to.

Would you rather have EA delay or put out an unpolished game. I'll opt for the former. EA, for being such a large publisher, has done a surprisingly good job as of late delaying games to polish them up rather than releasing half-baked titles for a quick cash in.
