Geekpulp talks to Sony about the sales figures for GT Prologue and whether they thought the online version would outsell the hard copy on Blu-Ray Disc. They expressed their surprise at the popularity of War Hawk as downloadable software and said that they anticipated GT to receive an even warmer welcome when it comes out later this month.

Also mentioned in the conversation was that the pre-order figures for the SCEE regions show orders already at one million. Making the PS3’s first pre release Platinum title.

I won't be able to pick it up until the end of April, I have to renew my Xbox Live subscription and buy some more Microsoft Points for Rock Band DLC (buying all of it really eats up cash).

But you will buy it! Thats good, but what I'm thinking is. When 1 million have already pre-ordered it, how many will buy it? And how many will buy the full game !?

Just curious (sp?), how many copies did Forza sell?

In May, it sold about 217 thousand copies. Not sure about more recent figures though.

It was bundled with the 360 for the fall, so it's probably a bit skewed by now.

I would think that there's at least a million Forza's sitting in homes right now, though I don't have any data to back me up.

I'm pretty sure there's a lot of Forza 2s in people's homes. I know a lot of people that have the game.

GT5 Prologue is going to be cool, but until they get the same kind of customization that Forza has the two games will be able to co-exist.
